Simple Cleaning and Maintenance Instructions for Tover Oil finishes
CLEANING WITH TOVER DETEROIL
How often you clean your floors is up to you and often depends on the level of soiling. If you normally wash your floors once a week then this would be done once a week also.
- Remove dirt with a broom or vacuum cleaner.
- Dilute approximately 30 mls of “Tover Deteroil” into 1 litre of water in a 1 litre spray bottle. Spray the solution directly onto the floor (mist/jet) and use a clean, damp, lint free cloth mop to clean the floor in the direction of the floor boards (we recommend and sell the SABCO Mop Kit with Dusting and Cleaning covers – this is also available from The Warehouse).

REJUVENATING & PROTECTING WITH TOVER’S LUX WAX
The Tover LUX product is like the wax coating on your car’s paint, it helps to protect the oil and assist with stain resistance.
- It is recommended that the Tover LUX product be used neat (undiluted) for the first few applications, particularly in heavy use areas or areas prone to water splashes such as kitchens and laundries.
- Tover LUX should be applied once every 2-4 months, dependent on the amount of cleaning done. Dilute 50ml of LUX to every litre of water in your spray bottle. If you CLEAN your floor once a week, it may be 4 months before a LUX application is required. If the floor is cleaned several times a week, the floor may require a LUX application once every 4-8 weeks. You will get to know your floor and when a LUX application is required.
Please note: ALWAYS make sure you have cleaned your floor before carrying out a LUX application as the LUX product is not a cleaner.

WARNING
DO NOT under any circumstances use steam mops, soap detergents, kerosene or “oil soaps”. They may damage the wood and the finish and leave a discolouring residue. If you have any questions or are unsure if what you are doing is right, please contact us.
